We had numerous difficulties with the free Coollists, so Sp00ky girl re-established the lists on a Major Domo powered progam Wednesday, October 8, 1997, almost one year after the creation of Amethyst's original Labyrinth Mailing List. Jenn "Lady Sowelu" Farago now maintains the discussion and fanfic lists and you can visit her Labyrinth List FAQ for more details.
If you have signed up on another page for one or both of the old Coollist Mailing Lists, please unsubscribe from them and sign up for the newest Major Domo lists. Since Coollist often crashes, leaving everyone wondering which oubliette it has fallen into this week, everyone moved over to the new lists and traffic has stopped on the lousy Coollists. You can find out how to unsubscribe from the Coollists at the earlier version of this page.
The third list to be created was the Labyrinth Role Play list, [email protected]. It was established by Maria-Christine Egen Tsodo but now it's run by Natacha Béchard. For all the details and requirements, check out Maria's original page or Natacha's current page.
The discussion list generates anywhere from 20-70 messages per day, the fanfic list a bit less. However, summertime mail sometimes hits 300 or so message a day!

Major Domo programs can also process commands, like telling you who all is on the list. For a complete list and explanation of commands, send an E-mail to [email protected] with only the word help in the message area.
The second list, [email protected], is exclusively for fanfiction such as poetry and stories. Comments regarding a story should either be sent directly to the author, or, if you have a rather insightful comment to offer (something more than, "I liked it! Can't wait for the next chapter!) then you can share this with [email protected]. Fanfic authors live for this kind of attention, so don't feel shy about telling them how much you liked a story or poem!
You'll have to contact Natacha Béchard and visit her page regarding the roleplay list [email protected] since stories are on-going and in-character. There are rules as to what your character can and can not do, so please get the requirements before jumping in with your own chapter!
Prohibited on all lists is the posting of "chain letters" and "make money" pyramid schemes etc. such as you'd see at the Archive of Email Forwards.
There are a number of cute, non-Labyrinth forwards people like to share. Don't! We've probably already seen them!
Please don't post virus warnings to the lists. Almost all of them are hoaxes, so check a hoax alert page first!
Also despised on the lists are short or one-line responses which have quoted an entire message. I've read that it is customary to quote no more than four lines of text and to add at least as much as you quote in your own response. If you need to quote more than four lines, then you should paraphrase instead.
Please edit your messages and do not merely hit the reply button. You may not realize that your mailer is attaching the entire original message at the bottom of your response when it is mailed. You may want to try out your software with a friend first, to see if this happens, particularly if you have America OnLine.
It is also not a good idea to post attachments of any kind to either list. A lot of mail accounts, such as Juno, cannot receive them.
